CLE: Legal Research on a Budget

Tuesday, April 26, 2011 (11:30 AM - 1:15 PM)

Co-sponsored by the Women in the Legal Profession Section and the Solo & Small Firm Attorneys Section

1.2 MO MCLE Hours

In today's economic climate, it is more important than ever for attorneys to provide effective legal services at a competitive price. Legal research fees account for a large portion of the costs billed to clients, so cutting these costs is an effective way to transfer savings to the client. Alternatives to Westlaw and Lexis, such as FDSys and GoogleScholar, offer great starting points for a much lower cost - or even for free! Whether starting research from scratch, or working from a known citation, this program will provide the budget-conscious lawyer with cost-effective options for performing thorough legal research.
